Just saying hi.

Also, I wrote a little poem.

I already posted it on facebook, so some of you might recognize this:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I totaled my Jeep,
And lost my job too.

Ain't life grand? Or something... grumble grumble

I hit a deer with my Jeep and because of the age and mileage, the insurance company considered it a loss. My job is a long story. In a nutshell--job restructured, less jobs available, had to apply for job, wasn't hired. Let the job search commence!

I do have some good news, though. Remember that Angel & Demon story I wanted to write? Well, I wrote it--a short story. It's being published in an anthology for Less Than Three Press. I'll post more details later.

Finally, I'm working on the next chapter of Minnesota Dreams. Like, working on finishing and will post within a day or two. There are about two or three chapters left and an epilogue. I'm hoping it won't be as long between chapters as it has been lately (much to my shame and chagrin).

Okay, one more thing. I am totally in love with Mika and Scissor Sisters! Their cd's are all I've listened to for about two weeks. With a little Adam Lambert thrown in occasionally (I wore out his cd the month before).

That is all.

Sorry to hear about your job, that is tough indeed, hope something good turns up for you.

Exciting news about Minnesota Dreams and even better news about getting published, I look forward to hearing more about that.

Best wishes to you

Thanks Lorna - I think MD will be up today or tomorrow. I just have to finish one part and edit, but I've been busier the past couple days (including today) than I thought I'd be.

Hey, "B.B."*
That must've been some deer... to totally whack your Jeep!! Keep on the job search, though. With your insight and compassion, you won't be unemployed for long!

Looking forward to more "MD," too!

Safe Journeys.

Re: Hey, "B.B."*
Hee - I totally got the B.B. without the clue! The Jeep actually didn't look that bad - in fact, I hit it about 50 miles from home (at midnight) and drove it home. However, the radiator and fan were more damaged than it appeared. Plus, the years (it was a 1998) and mileage (250,000+) helped put it over. I hope I won't be unemployed for long. I've applied for a couple things, but may end up taking just anything until I can find something permanent.

I told Lorna up above that MD should be coming later today or tomorrow. I got busier than I thought I would be the past few days!

Oh, I don't want to be in the lost-my-job-club! I guess at least I have good company! Not going to say much here because I got your message on facebook and plan to write back there...oh, but yeah, Fairy garden is my new obsession! ♥

I have a few things to cover here.....

First, I'd like to thank-you for the wonderful comment you left me on my little one here, (I need to update her pic)

2nd--PUBLISHED!!!!!! How do I get my hands on that book?

3rd--You poor dear--hitting a deer! (Sorry-*chuckling*) :(

I honestly think insurance companies shouldn't be able to total a vehicle, instead replace the one you have. Find one like it, same year, about the same mileage... Etc.... Because if you are like me, that vehicle is worth a lot more than they are willing to pay you. And then your job! You poor sweetie--I hope that will be easy to replace....

4th---MINNESOTA DREAMS.......A Dream Come True.......
Thank-you so very much for continuing on that adventure. I have missed it so much! ♥♥♥ⓣⓗⓐⓝⓚⓢ♥♥♥

((((Hugs))))

Did I tell you I have a new baby niece and your little one sort of looks like her? Bella is six months old and my sisters first baby (at 39). She's going to be so spoiled! Because, of course, she's the perfect baby and so adorable!

Being published is exciting! I had a short story published last year in an anthology for Dreamspinner press. I wrote about it a few posts ago. But this one is a little different. I'll be putting up a post about it with links and stuff later.

I would have loved if the insurance company would've replaced my jeep. But I have found something and it gets better gas mileage, so there's that. My job, however, I don't think is going to be as easy. There's not a lot available up here so I may end up taking what I can get before finding something I want. Does that make sense? Also, my daughter is going to the U of M next year and never wants to move back up here, so she'd love it if I'd sell the house and move either to Duluth or closer to the cities.

I'll hopefully be able to get MD up in the next day or two. I've been more busy than I thought I'd be, so didn't get it finished as soon as I thought. I definitely plan to finish it--I think some people were losing hope and thought I'd abandoned it.

Thanks for the hugs--I need them! And right back at you! ♥

Hello sweetheart!

I'm so very sorry about your job, that's just really hard. And the car! Omg! I'm thankful you're alright though. *hugs*

YAY and congrats for being published! that's wonderful news ♥

As for MD, you know how much I adore your writing but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get into the story again as I have been out of the BBM fandom for a looong time now. It does kinda make me sad though.

Take care, love ♥♥♥

Hello, Dear! I know you've been away from BBM fiction for a while and that's okay. Actually, I have been also. I've been reading tons of original fiction, which is probably why it takes me so long to update and why I've started ten other stories that are original! But that's okay...

I've had no luck on the job search so far, but I did find a car.

Love and hugs,

Hi Rachelle,
Great news about Minnisota Dreams. I was just wondering about this great story the other day. Looking forward to seeing the next chapter/s, although not looking forward to it ending.
Thanks, Robyn.

Hi Robyn-I've felt really bad that it's taken me so long to finish this story and part of me will be sad when it ends, but part of me will be glad that I managed to finish it! &hearts

Thanks, Donna. I'm sorry too, because I loved my Jeep. I did find a car, though, and it gets a lot better gas mileage, so that's good. &hearts

Hi PJ-
I just saw this. I don't messages were getting to my email and I'm terrible about checking my lj inbox! Anyway, things are, well, ok. Not great, but nothing bad has happened in at lease a week, so... yay! How are things with you?

Anyway, I'm sure you saw the new (short) chapter posted. I'm working on a personal post now.

It was good to hear from you!
